How do I record Audio?
Yes, you can record audio from your microphone and from your computer’s speakers. We have created a video that shows you how. Click on Record Audio from your Speakers and also check out How to Record from Your Microphone
Make sure you have downloaded and ordered Easy Screen Capture Video 2 this version records sound.
Please be sure that ‘Record Audio’ under the options menu is checked. You need a sound card with an attached microphone to use this option. Basically, if you can hear the streaming audio in your speakers, you should be able to simply set the recording device to WaveOut (in Volume Control, Recording Properties, etc.) and the program will actually record what you are also hearing in your speakers
How do I see my Video Recording?
First click on the Options Menu.
You will then see a drop down submenu and then click on Program options (at the bottom of the list).
You will then see the ‘Play AVI video file when recording stops’
IMPORTANT: Make sure this is checked.
When you stop recording a window will pop up letting you save your recording and after it is saved Easy Screen Capture Video will automatically play your recording.
There’s no maximum length for recording with Easy Screen Capture Video.
However there are limits regarding file sizes.
The largest filesize you can have an AVI is 4GB on a FAT32 formatted hard disk and 16 EB (Exobytes) on an NTFS formatted drive.
Here are some tips:
- Only record as much screen area as you need.
- Keep you on-screen movement to a minimum.
- Try testing with a smaller quality setting in the video options area and try other codecs such as DivX if you’re recording video playing in a Media player.
All of those should help reduce the final file size of your video.
Also, keep in mind that the larger the file, the larger the amount of RAM needed to play the video and the faster the CPU needed to display all the video data.
How to re-record other video files?
Please note that Easy Screen Capture Video is not intended for re-recording other video files from the screen. We have had a countless number of questions in relation to this and we are making this information available to reduce questions in this area as we do not support this function. When trying to re-record a video many times people will only get a black screen. This is a video overlay. So, all you need to do is to disable the graphics hardware acceleration globally for all applications. This is very easy to do. You simply go to your Control Panel and click on Display > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot and you will see ‘Hardware Acceleration’. Set the slider to ‘None’ and press OK. Please note: You may need to restart Windows to have this change apply. Also, note that you need to switch this back to ‘Full’ after you are finished recording. Please do not sent us questions in regard to this.
